At Teddy’s Goodies we try to keep up with the trends, but be sure there are only the freshest ingredients and limited ones at that, to be found now or in the future in our treats. After all, a dog in the wild is not looking for the latest smoothie combo to fill its tummy.

This week we’ve worked on chicken gizzards, hearts and livers. We are starting with just plain, with a bit of water-soluble vitamin e and sea salt to help preserve it during and after the dehydration process.
While Teddy is the Official Taste Tester, after all, his name and likeness is on the bag, Sheba did overrule him on the gizzards.
The livers, from Bell and Evans, were so fresh, they didn’t even smell like liver, just fresh chicken. They were also bigger than what we are used to seeing in the stores, so, they need to be cut into smaller strips.
The dogs loved them!
The gizzards, Teddy liked them, but Sheba loved them!
The hearts are still in the dehydrators, so, we’ll keep you posted.
I’m thinking of adding organic rosemary infused extra virgin olive oil to the gizzards. Rosemary is good for the dogs, and it may keep them softer after dehydration.
We’ll keep you posted, but if you have any ideas or suggestions, feel free to add your comments!
